1.A. Appease- Relieve or Satisfy B. Liz said that she was appeased that practice was over because she was really tired from the last game. C. 2.A. Reciprocal- Given, felt, or done in return B. In class Emma and I felt that we needed to reciprocal something for Ms. Stoneham because she is always giving us things. C. 3.A. Tedious- Too long, slow, or dull B. I felt like the first horse show was tedious because I was one of the last ones in my class to go and I had been waiting all day, it felt like my turn was never going to come. C. 4A. Waver- Shake with a quivering motion B. Emma was wavering because she was so nervous about the exam she thought she was going to fail. C. 5.A. Adversity- Difficulties or misfortune B. My brother had adversity the first time he wrestled because he wasn't to sure of the wrestling moves yet. C. Vocabulary for the week of Jan. 30th- Feb. 3 6.A. Resolution- Ferm decision to do or not to do something B. I had to make a resolution if I should go to the basketball game, and go out to eat with Emma, Liz, and Emily. C. 7.A. Conventional- Based on or in accordance with what is generally done or believed B. Emma put Pizza rolls in the conventional microwave because she was hungry. C. 8.A. Mediate- Intervene between people in a dispute in order to bring about an agreement B. Emma and Liz had to mediate when they had an argument about who was the better basketball player. C. 9.A. Ensue- Happen or occur afterward or as a result B. C.
