Henry Ford deserves a monument in Washington D.C. because Ford is considered one of America's leading businessmen, he is credited today for helping to build America's economy during the nation's vulnerable early years. Henry Ford made the first Ford vehicle in 1896, so that we could drive longer distances, rather than making a horse have to pull a buggy for long distances. After a few trials building cars and companies, in 1903, Henry Ford established the Ford Motor Company. Ford introduced the Model T in October of 1908, and for several years, the company posted 100 percent gains. In 1914, he sponsored the development of the moving assembly line technique of mass production, which revolutionized the industry. As a result, Ford sold millions of cars and became a world-famous company head. The company lost its market dominance but had a lasting impact on other technological development and U.S. infrastructure. The Henry Ford monument should go close to the Washington Monument.

The quote that I picked was "You Can't Be Anything You Want To Be, You Can Only Be What You Deserve To Be." I picked this quote because you can only become what you deserve and not what you want to. You can become what you want to if you try hard and try to achieve the goals you need to, to become what you want. You only become what you deserve to be by not following those goals and just saying that you can achieve those goals without trying. Also you only can be what you deserve to be because if you don't try then you won't become what you want only what you deserve.
When I hear this quote I think of my mom. I think of my mom because she wanted to become a nurse, so she went to school to become a nurse. My mom graduated from Ehove to become a nurse, and she never gave up. During the poster assignment I learned definitions of words I didn’t know before. I also learned how to use different websites to edit pictures of the things we needed for our posters. Some of the words that I didn’t know the definitions for were scale factor, relative frequency table, and line best of fit. Some of the websites we used to edit our pictures for our posters were, Fotoflexer, CC Search Prototype, and Free Images- Pixabay. The website that I mostly used to get my pictures was Google, and I mostly edited the pictures on Fotoflexer using Firefox.
If I could change one thing about this assignment it would be to only do one subject, and have different groups do the others. Then we could just make an IMovie and present them to the whole 7th and 8th grade. We should have done this because doing all subjects took up way too much time especially if you couldn’t figure out a catchphrase. Doing the project this way would have made the whole project a lot easier only having to do one subject. This poster assignment will most likely help me with the tests that are coming up. Because we found useful ways to describe the definitions of them with catch phrases and pictures to help understand the meanings. It will also help me by some of the posters that my group made they had abbreviations for some and that made them easier for me to remember. Apple refusing to cooperate with the FBI to hack the iPhone was the right choice to make. Apple shouldn’t be able to hack into iPhone's.
Apple shouldn’t hack into iPhones unless the owners of the phone say you’re aloud. According to Randall G. Holcombe the author,” Apple phones have features that protect the privacy of the information on them, and the Fourth Amendment guarantees people this right to privacy. Americans have the right to possess information without having to share it with the government. Apple has the right to provide products that help Americans protect this right. This case was about more than the threat of a backdoor way to access our phones, it was about the real danger we face from a backdoor attack on our rights.” (2016). Apple iPhones have privacy settings for a reason, so they can keep the things you do on your phone private. If they wanted to be able to hack the iPhone’s, then Apple shouldn’t have put the privacy settings on it. Some people don’t have bad things on their phones, they just don’t like it when other people are on their phones. For some people it doesn’t bother them, but they want to keep the things they have on their phone private. The things on their phone might not be inappropriate, but people don’t like it when people invade their personal things. Tim Cook’s actions on not wanting to unlock the iPhones was a good choice, because he didn’t want to be involved in the hacking. According to Whitt Flora the author, “The FBI’s decision to drop its lawsuit against Apple does not justify the actions of Tim Cook, Apple's chief executive officer. Cook refused to unlock Farook's phone to help the FBI's investigation of the attack due to privacy settings. This refusal is hard to justify in an age when America and its allies are coming under attack from extremist groups.” (2016). The Fourth Amendment guarantees people the right to privacy. If the Fourth Amendment is a law we need to follow it, and not be able to hack phones. The only time you should be able to hack iPhone’s is if the owner of the phone says your aloud. But other than that, you shouldn’t be allowed to hack them at all. When Apple or the FBI wants to hack a phone, they would be breaking the Fourth Amendment law. Apple refused to help the FBI because they didn’t want to have to make a new software just to hack the phone. According to Randall G. Holcombe the author, “The U.S. government has no right to force anybody to provide it services against their will. Consider the broader implications of the FBI’s argument. Apple was not hiding anything and would have had to create new software to do what the FBI wanted.” (2016). The government should not have a say in the hacking of iPhones because they would be breaking the Fourth Amendment law. If they were to break the law then it could give the U.S. a bad reputation. The owner of the phone and the phone company should have a say whether or not the FBI can hack phones. Apple wasn’t hiding anything from the FBI they just didn’t want to help hack the phone. Apple could have helped the FBI hack into the phone, but they would’ve needed to make a new software to do what the FBI wanted. Apple shouldn’t be able to hack into iPhone's. Apple shouldn’t hack into iPhones unless the owners of the phone say you’re aloud, so that they aren’t breaking the fourth amendment law. Tim Cook’s actions on not wanting to unlock the iPhone was actually a good choice, because he didn’t want to be involved in the hacking. Apple refused to help the FBI because they didn’t want to have to make a new software just to hack the phone. Becoming a barrel racer means that you need to be a skillful rider, because you need to be able to control an animal that is twice your size. Barrel racing has a long history of skillful horse riders that enjoy the sport for it's beauty.
Barrel Racing has been around since about the 1930’s, but in 1948 it was actually announced a women’s sport. As it has progressed throughout many many years women, men, and children are able to barrel race. According to, "About Barrel Racing." Ibra.us.” “Barrel racing is a rodeo event that was primarily for women. It's thought that barrel racing began in 1948, and was invented by the Women's Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA). The WPRA was made up of a group of women from Texas, and the sport has been modified to be a modern event. Speed was not as much of a factor in the results as the rider’s outfit and horsemanship by maneuvering through the designated pattern. This was an event for women, while the men participated in the athletic rodeo events like roping, and bull or bronco riding. In early barrel racing the pattern went back and forth between a figure eight and the cloverleaf pattern. Then eventually the cloverleaf pattern stuck and became the pattern they would use all the time.” Barrel racing did first start out as just a women’s sport there was absolutely no men or children that were aloud to barrel race. Now that it has progressed throughout the years men, women, and children can barrel race. The National Barrel Horse Association (NBHA), International Barrel Racing Association (IBRA), and many more. There is also rodeos that you can compete in, if you win you can go to a bunch of different states to compete. In order to become a successful barrel racer, a person should follow certain techniques. According to, "Seven Habits of Highly Effective Barrel Racers." “Quarter Horses are preferred for barrel racing, but many Appaloosas are suitable too. Sport boots, bridle and bit, saddle, and saddle pad is the equipment you need. Staying seated deep in the saddle when you go around a barrel and grab the horn so you stay balanced. Pull your hand back toward your hip or your pant pocket. This should tip your horse’s nose toward the barrel, and the rest of his body will follow their nose into the turn, but make sure you don’t pull your hand to far then your horse might knock the barrel or you could even catch the barrel with your leg and knock it. Your horse should bend their entire body around the barrel, not just their neck, so remember to also use your inside leg when you ask for each turn. You want to try and aim for a faster time each show you go to. For example, if the first show you run a 22.67 then the next show you might want to try and run a 21, 20, or less.” Quarter horses are preferred for barrel racing because they are the only breed of horse that can run a quarter mile the fastest. So that is how they got their name Quarter horse. For your equipment you don’t have to have a saddle pad to put under your saddle, but it is preferred so that the saddle doesn’t rub the hair on your horse’s back off and make them sore. If you stay seated deep in the saddle then you will most likely not fall off, but there is always that chance of something going wrong and falling off. You have to use cues when going around the barrels so that your horse knows which way it has to go and so that it knows they aren’t supposed to slow down around the barrels. Also you want to try and improve your time at each show so that you can try to place higher and get more points at the end. There are many benefits of barrel racing, but not all of the benefits have the same effect on people as it does others. There is positive character traits, physical health, cardio benefits, problem solving, psychological health, companionship, socialization, competition, and relaxation. According to, "Certified Horsemanship Association: Benefits of Horseback Riding." “Positive Character Traits, teaches responsibility to those who ride and even more so to those who take care of horses. Physical Health, riders can develop better reflexes and a sense of balance and coordination as they use their entire body to guide and propel the horse forward. Cardio benefits, riding, lifting saddles onto the back of a horse, mucking stalls, and moving hay bales. Problem solving, if a horse is set on going one way and the rider wants to go the other, he/she has to determine how to make them go the direction the rider wants to. Psychological health, when a rider learns how to stay on and also meet goals set by a riding instructor or themselves, those feelings of "I can do this," really make an impact. Companionship, being able to communicate and interact with an animal has already been shown to have a positive effect on people. Socialization, riders will socialize with their horses, each other, their riding instructors, employees at the barn, and those at competitions. Competition, those who like to compete have a number of disciplines and horse sports to choose from in order to compete with their equine partner. Relaxation, when a horse walks with a rider on their back, the rider's pelvis moves in the same motion as if he or she were walking.” These benefits influence me because I have to throw hay everyday. When it’s time to ride I have to be able to put my heavy saddle on my horse. Also when I ride my hips move like I’m taking a walk while riding my horse. There is a lot of competition in barrel racing you have enemies you want to beat, and you have friends you don’t want to beat. But you want to beat your friends so that you can place higher in the division. Then again you don’t because you don’t want them to be mad at you. Barrel racing has a long history of skillful horse riders that enjoy the sport for it's beauty. Barrel Racing has been around since about the 1930’s, but in 1948 it was announced a women’s sport. As it has progressed throughout many many years women, men, and children are able to barrel race. Pick the horse you might think would be the best, purchase your tack, regular exercise, staying anchored in the saddle, slow down at the barrels, pick the pocket, use cues, “the finish line”, and increase your speed each time you go to a show. There are many benefits of barrel racing, but not all of the benefits have the same effect on some people as it does others. Works Cited "About Barrel Racing." Ibra.us. Web. 01 Feb. 2017. Then became older and is know getting in trouble for everything like being arrested for drunk driving, has been charged with vandalism, and he has bailed on multiple shows. All of the fame and fortune you get from being a celebrity is truly not worth it.
When becoming famous you get followed around almost everyday, and you only get some privacy or time to yourself. “Famous people can’t so much as walk their dogs or tie their shoes without being gawked at, photographed, tweeted about, or Instagrammed.” Also if someone were to become famous then they wouldn’t be able to tell who their real friends are, if they are truly friends or if they just want to be friends because of the fame. “It can be difficult for a celebrity to trust others and to make and keep true friends.” “Stars have to wonder if their “friends” even like them for who they are or for what they have.” When you become famous and get in trouble for something then the whole world will know in about 2-3 days. When getting followed around this means that the paparazzi will follow you around taking pictures of you and, wanting to talk to you about what you’re going to do. Famous people can’t tell who their real friends are, if they just want to be friends with you because you’re famous or they want to be friends with you not because of your fame. When a famous person gets into trouble this means that the paparazzi will most likely be there following you around and they can catch you getting in trouble, and then they can put it anywhere in the media so, that it will spread quickly. Or the paparazzi can make something up about you getting into trouble when you really didn’t just because they don’t have anything else to post on social media and so that there’s more gossip about you. Yes, fame and fortune can make you happy because it comes with awesome perks. Such as, “free clothes from top designers, front-row seats at prestigious award shows, trips around the world, and earning more money from one movie than most people make in a lifetime.” But being famous and being able to have or buy all the nice expensive things that could lead to bragging about how they have nice expensive things and other people don’t. It could also lead to people wanting to break into famous people’s homes to try and steal all their nice clothes and all the expensive things in their house. Despite their fame and fortune, many celebrities may not be as happy as they seem. “According to a recent study at the University of Rochester in New York, true happiness derives from having close relationships, time to focus on personal growth, and connections to your community.” “The celebrity lifestyle can make those things extremely difficult.” “Like for celebrities to have friends that actually like them for who they are and not for what they have.” “Or for celebrities to be able to walk their dogs or tie their shoes without being gawked at, photographed, tweeted about, or Instagrammed.” “Beyonce has said that though she likes the attention when she onstage. She’d be happier if she could “cut it off” when she isn’t performing and enjoy her life.” Some famous people like the fame, fortune, and attention, but others don’t like it as much or at all. So the people that don’t like the fame as much might regret becoming famous because they are tired of the paparazzi following them around everywhere they go. The people that like themselves being famous would only like it because they get to get their pictures taken all the time by the paparazzi, they earn lots of money, and that they get to be known throughout the world by millions of people. During Christmas break I spent most of my time with family and friends, and got lots of presents. The Tuesday that we got out for break we had a basketball game home against Western Reserve and we won. That night Emma and Liz stayed the night and was there all day to see us because they said “they had nothing better to do”, and they just wanted to visit. On Christmas Eve I spent some time with my mom and her boyfriend then later that night I went to my dad’s. I stayed at my dad’s for the night, so when we all woke up we could open our presents there with them and my step- mom’s brother and his girlfriend. Then we all took turns guessing whether or not our aunt and uncle were going to come up from Texas to visit for Christmas.
On Christmas day, after we all woke up and opened presents we ate our breakfast, so that my brother and I could go to our grandma’s to open presents and eat lunch. After we ate lunch my brother and I had to go back to our dad’s house so we could have Christmas with his side of the family. We ate supper opened presents then spent some time with our aunt and uncle that that we figured would came up from Texas to visit for Christmas, after that we had to go back to our mom’s house to open presents with her. My brother and I tried to convince our mom to let us stay longer at our dad’s house so that we could visit with our aunt and uncle a little bit longer. When we opened presents at our dad’s house I got a new pair of jeans, a sweater, North Face jacket, perfume, lotion, and a card that said I was going to get my NBHA membership at the first show, so that I could run in the circuit, and I got a new pair of boots.. When I opened presents at my grandma’s house I got a pair of American Eagle jeans, a shirt, t.v., another pair of boots, gift card for Dick’s Sporting Goods, Visa gift card, and money. When I went back to my dad’s to open presents with his side of the family I got 3 shirts, a sweatshirt, a lot of candy, and money. Then I went to my mom’s to open presents, and there I got a basketball, a North Face sweatshirt, a Nike sweatshirt, basketball keychain, a pair of pajama pants, a scarf to wear with nice clothes, and a picture frame to put a picture of me and my horse in. Then the day after Christmas my mom’s boyfriend was leaving to go to Minnesota to see his grandpa because he wasn’t doing very good, he was gone for a whole week, but was back in time for my mom’s birthday which is January 1st. A couple days after my mom’s boyfriend left my mom, my brother, my aunt, my grandma, and I all went out to spend our Christmas and my birthday money. We went out for lunch also, but we went before we did our shopping. We went to the Mall, Dicks Sporting Goods to spend our gift cards, and to Kohls, so that my aunt could take back her sweatpants she got from there because they were too small. Currently I’m in 8th grade, and my grade point average for the 1st nine weeks was 3.0. I enjoy playing around the house with my dog, and then going outside to take care of my horse. I would rather be taking care of animals instead of looking at a screen all day. I would like to go to EHOVE to learn more about being a veterinarian. My interest have led me to my number one career choice. When I grow up, I want to be a Veterinarian.
I will become a Veterinarian by learning some of the skills and terms in EHOVE, then by going to college to learn more about becoming a Veterinarian. According to the Ohio Means Jobs website “You need to have good grades, pay attention in class, work hard on everything you get, and make sure that you study for all tests and quizzes to pass your class.” In order for me to accomplish these goals I will be working hard at EHOVE by paying attention to learn more about the skills and terms that I’ll need to know. I will have at least a 3.0 GPA or possibly higher. Also I will be studying harder for tests and quizzes so that I can pass, and become a vet faster. I will try my best to get all A’s and B’s like I do now, so that I will pass all my classes. In order to become a vet I need to posses the skills of, having a passion for all animals, academic competencies, good business skills, and interpersonal skills. “According to Martin Argles the guardian by Newsela staff, “Vets know and understand pets in a way that most owners do not. Turns out many veterinarians are sickened by the very patients they are striving to heal. Yet, they go to work anyway, dedicated to their jobs and patients.” In order for me to become a vet, I will need to be able to understand all animals because I intend on working with all sizes of animals whether they’re big or small. I will make sure that I don’t let an animal leave before it has been diagnosed. Also I will make sure that all my work will be dedicated to the animals and to my job. I will never leave a patient behind, they may be big or small, but I will treat them all. Being a veterinarian could take me to many different places in life. According to Veterinarians: Occupational Outlook Handbook “Veterinary medical colleges typically require applicants to have taken many science classes, including biology, chemistry, anatomy, physiology, zoology, microbiology, and animal science. Few states accept licenses from other states, so veterinarians who want to be licensed in another state usually must take that state’s exam.” If I do want to become a vet in a different state, yes I will most likely have to take that states test. When I do become a vet I want to most likely stay in Ohio, so that I am closer to my family. If I get the opportunity to move up in a different veterinarian position I will definitely move up. I have been thinking that yes one day I will retire from being a vet, but I just don’t know when yet. I don’t know if I’ll retire from age or number of years worked I haven’t decided yet. Out of all the jobs I could do in the future, I chose to be a veterinarian because I like taking care of all sorts of animals. Also I have watched many veterinarian television shows that have interested me to become a vet. The t.v. shows that I have watched made being a vet look like it can be fun, but not look very fun at the same time. You get to take care of all sorts of animals, from little house pets to big farm animals. I also want to become a vet because they have inspired me. Every time my dad takes an animal to the vet they never let us down they always find the problem then tell us how to solve it. I want to be that person that whenever someone brings an animal into the clinic I can diagnose it. Then I can tell them how to prevent this problem from happening again. Also I could give them medicine to give their animal so this doesn’t happen anymore. I also want to be that vet that any person can bring me their pet and they can count on me to make their animal healthy again.
Donald Trump wants to make America great again by keeping illegal immigrants out of the United States. Hillary Clinton wants to ban guns while Donald Trump does not. America should vote for Donald Trump.
Donald Trump said that he won’t take away guns because they can save people’s lives. According to ontheissues.org, “Donald Trump doesn’t want to take our guns because they save people’s lives. Even though there are mass shooters out in the world, they are due to huge mental health problems.” If the guns were to be taken away then there would be no self defense. Donald Trump should be president, because if Hillary Clinton were to take our guns away, then we wouldn’t have any self defense, and we wouldn’t be able to protect ourselves. If we can’t protect ourselves with the guns we own, then we would be in trouble because we have no way to protect ourselves, family, and friends. Americans shouldn’t vote for the Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, because she wants to ban the guns that we use for self defense. Hillary Clinton also wants to take away the guns that we hunt with, and some of the people out in the world have to hunt for their food. So, if Hillary Clinton takes away our guns then the people that have to hunt for their food will most likely starve. According to ontheissues.org, “Hillary Clinton wants to limit access weapons; look for early warning signs. She also wants to license and register all handgun sales.” Although Hillary Clinton wants to take guns away because they can protect our children we have had guns for the past 200 years, so why take away our guns. The reason we came to the United States was because we wanted to be able to have guns and shoot the deer, squirrel, groundhog, and everything else because we want to be able to eat them. Hillary Clinton also wants to store the guns and ammunition separately, so that our children are protected, and not playing with the guns their parent(s) have. Donald Trump wants to make a wall that separates the U.S. and Mexico. Donald Trump says the wall will be a "impenetrable, physical, tall, powerful, beautiful, southern border wall.” According to the Newsela article Politicians: Donald Trump, “he promised to build a wall between the United States and Mexico to stop illegal immigration.” Donald Trump should build this wall that will cover a 1,000 miles of land between Mexico and the U.S. If he wants to keep the illegal immigrants from coming over to the United States like he says, then it will will protect us from Isis coming over to the U.S. and bombing the whole country. Americans should vote for Donald Trump, because he wants to keep our guns, and he wants to build a wall to keep all the illegal immigrants out of the United States. While Hillary Clinton wants to ban guns, and she doesn’t want to build a wall that will keep illegal immigrants out of the United States. Instead she wants to keep all the families together and cancel all immigration detention homes. Donald Trump wants to make America great again because he wants to make sure we keep our guns, build a wall between the United States and Mexico. He also wants to make sure that he keeps everyone safe from illegal immigrants bombing the country. Screenflow is an app on the Apple computers that can record what you are doing on your screen, you can record your voice, and you can also record your self. After you record what you did on your screen then you can edit it to make it look better than what it is, and you can put titles on it anywhere you want, you can add call outs so you can make like a spotlight around the cursor to point out important things. You can also add in transitions, you can split the clips if you want to put something in between the two clips, and you can add music into the beginning and or the end.
Screenflow can be useful in the future because you can use it in college for a project that you want to record your voice and what you want to do on your screen for a better way to explain to yourself what your doing and how your supposed to do it. It can also be helpful in your job by if you become a teacher you can make a screenflow to show your students if you're not going to be there the next day. You can also use it if you become a doctor, a vet, or anything really because if you want to be able to show your patients what will happen before you operate on them or operate on their animal, so they can see if it's going to be dangerous to them or not. It can be useful to a construction worker by being able to watch it if you need to remember how to build or take down something. Vocabulary for the week of October 24-28

B. Monday in Science we had to do a paper about plate tectonics, so that we understood them better wen we take our test. C. In Science we are getting ready to take a test over plate tectonics because we finished the chapter on Tuesday. My summer consist of babysitting my 2 little brothers and my little sister Monday-Friday until about 5:00 when my step-mom got home. After she would get home my sister and I would go outside to let out our horses if it wasn't raining, if it was then we would clean out stalls, give them hay, and water. If it wasn't or did rain then we would go outside to get our horses ready to ride for an upcoming horse show. Most Saturdays there would be a horse show so we would get our stuff out of the trailer on Friday and take it to the barn, so that we can clean it to put it back in the trailer. Then we would give our horses a bath, when they were all dry we braided their manes. After we did that we would have to put on their sheets so they don't rub against the wall at night and undo their braids. Then we go inside to make sure we have our clothes out for the morning, and take showers, so we can go to bed. Usually we have to get up at about 5:30 in the morning to get dressed, do our hair, and go feed our horses. Then we will load horses up in the trailer, and leave for the horse show. Usually we end up getting home about 1 or 2 o'clock in the morning and the show starts about 11 or 12 o'clock in the afternoon. Some Saturdays we go to truck pulls with my dad so we have to help him get ready. So my step-mom, sister, and I wash the truck and trailer while my dad and brother work on the pulling truck. Then we have to load the truck, check on the horses, then we can leave. Usually if the pull starts at 3 or 4 then we get home about 1. So most of my summer was babysitting, horse shows, and truck pulls. Amberley Snyder, a paralyzed barrel racer, is my hero. She is my hero because if she can be a paralyzed barrel racer, and not really be afraid then I can do it too without being paralyzed. Amberley was in a car accident when she was on her way home, driving through Wyoming from her home state of Utah on her way to the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo in Denver when she glanced down to check her map. She had just stopped at a gas station and had forgotten to re-buckle her seatbelt. As she looked up, she realized she had faded over a lane and was heading towards a metal beam on the side of the road she tried to correct her truck, but she slid off the road, and her truck turned completely sideways. Amberley was ejected and hit a fence post on the side of the freeway. She knew she must have broken her back because she didn't have any feeling in her legs.
Being in a car accident didn't stop her from following her dreams, and still riding her horse, in rodeos. Amberley is an outgoing person she always tries her best even she thinks she can't do it. Even if she doesn't run the fastest time, win or place at all in a rodeo she doesn't get mad or angry, she will just go with it, as long as she thinks she did great. Amberley is a very gracious person she always has great sportsmanship when she runs at rodeos, and when someone is done running, or if they place she will tell them they did a great job and congratulations. Amberley is also hard-working, when she's not going to rodeos she's at home riding her horse to improve for the next rodeo. Amberley is trust worthy because if the announcers announce she gets first when she goes up to get her check she will check the placings sheet just to make sure. If she doesn't actually get first she will let the announcers know they got mixed up that she actually got a different place. Amberley is my hero because she works hard at everything she does to accomplish her goals. Also she tries her best on everything she will never give up until all her goals are accomplished. Amberley never gives up she always thrives for what she wants to accomplish in her life. Amberley is a great role model because even with her being paralyzed she never gives up on anything. That makes me think well if Amberley doesn't give up, and my life is way easier than Amberley's If I had to choose whether to put tax on sugary drink or not I would choose to put a tax on sugary drinks. I would choose to put a tax on sugary drinks because yes people like to drink sugary drinks, but you shouldn't drink them all the time because they can cause health issues. "Health experts say the beverages contribute to health issues, such as diabetes, obesity, and tooth decay."
I think putting tax on sugary drinks is a good idea. If you raise the price of sugary drinks then people will most likely not want to buy them anymore because they cost more money, and some people don't want to spend a lot of money on sugary drinks. If less people don't want to buy the sugary drinks then they may not end up with diabetes, becoming obese or having tooth decay. Voters in Berkley and Philadelphia already put a penny-per-ounce soda tax in 2014. In the article they talked about a woman named Clem Howard, that has a mother, a baby sister, and brother-in-law that all have diabetes, and that doesn't stop her mother from drinking at least 2 sodas a day. Clem's brother-in-law lost a toe because of diabetes, but this doesn't stop him from drinking sugary drinks. Vocabulary Week of: August 29-September 2
